BETA CAE Systems Releases Version 2025.2: AI-Powered CAE Suite with GPU Meshing and New Solver Deck
BETA CAE Systems Releases Version 2025.2: A Comprehensive CAE Suite Upgrade
BETA CAE Systems has announced the release of version 2025.2 of its flagship CAE software suite, delivering a broad set of technical enhancements across its entire product portfolio. Released on December 23, 2025, the update spans ANSA, EPILYSIS, META, KOMVOS, SPDRM, FATIQ, ANSERS, and RETOMO — making it one of the most comprehensive releases in the company's history.
ANSA: Advanced Pre-processing Capabilities
The pre-processing powerhouse ANSA receives significant upgrades in version 2025.2, particularly in meshing, crash safety, and NVH workflows.
Meshing Improvements: A new GPU-accelerated Part Classifier enables engineers to train custom part label predictors based on historical data, dramatically reducing manual classification time. Advanced algorithms now generate node-to-node hexa/penta solid meshes in void regions — critical for battery foam, electronics packaging, and CFD models — while preserving existing finite element entities. Hextreme Volume Meshing sees improved quality and gap resolution with expanded controls for layer generation and quality criteria.
Human Body Modeling (HBM): New HBM tools support Euro NCAP TB 024 (CP 540) compliance, including automated car positioning, anthropometric dimension export, and regression model-based posture assignment for C-IASI, EuroNCAP Frontal VTC, and UMTRI-Reclined configurations.
NVH and Aeroacoustics: Actran Aeroacoustics is now integrated directly into ANSA's pre-processing environment, enabling iCFD analysis setup without leaving the pre-processor — a significant workflow efficiency gain for NVH engineers.
Optimization: The Kriging Response Surface Model (RSM) algorithm gains new Key Performance Indicators including accuracy metrics, performance plots, and model explanation plots. Support for FidelityCFD and META FRF Assembly output formats has been added to the optimization workflow.
EPILYSIS: New Solver Deck and Performance Gains
EPILYSIS 2025.2 introduces a dedicated new solver deck tailored specifically to EPILYSIS keywords and parameters. Key performance improvements include:
- Block Lanczos solver: Improved accuracy and computational efficiency
- Topology Optimization (SOL 200): Significant memory usage reduction when using minimum member size constraints
- Contact Detection: Redeveloped penetration detection algorithm with new configuration options
These improvements directly reduce solve times and memory footprints for large-scale structural optimization problems.
META: Enhanced Post-processing and Model Comparison
META 2025.2 introduces the Model Comparison tool, which unifies geometry, attribute, material, and result comparisons across multiple simulation models in a single interface — a long-requested feature for teams managing variant studies.
Additional highlights include:
- CFD Post-processing: Interactive modification of Parametric Point Paths and Cut Planes/Flow Paths
- NVH/Acoustics: Exterior acoustics pressure calculation on Field Points using the Rayleigh integral method, with modal and panel participation analysis
- Durability: Bolt assessment with Eurocode 3 support, including bolt diameter/class libraries and cross-section failure prediction
- HBM Certification: New tool for certifying Pedestrian HBMs per Euro NCAP TB 024 (CP 540)

AI and Data Management: KOMVOS and SPDRM
KOMVOS 2025.2 expands its AI-Assistant capabilities with natural language-to-BETA QL conversion for data search, agentic workflow design, and AI-powered CFD for creating non-parametric predictors from DOE studies. A new DM Schema Editor simplifies deployment of data model customizations.
SPDRM introduces SPDRM Lite, a fully portable single-user edition that delivers enterprise-level simulation process and data management without infrastructure dependencies — ideal for individual engineers or small teams needing access to advanced workflows like Part Build Orchestrator and HPC Submission.
SPDRM server performance has also been boosted with a 50% increase in processing efficiency for concurrent uploads, queries, and exports.
Getting Started
Version 2025.2 is available for download to licensed customers through the BETA CAE Systems customer portal. A hotfix (2025.2HF1), released April 17, 2026, addresses additional bug fixes across ANSA, EPILYSIS, META, FATIQ, SPDRM, KOMVOS, and ANSERS.
